Last Week: 1-5                      Season: 28-37 43%

Thanksgiving Teaser (7 points):

Lions -1, Cowboys -6.5, and 49ers pk

TCU +10 (@ Oklahoma)

Short week and both Sooners QB Dillon Gabriel and WR Jalil Farooq left last week’s game against BYU with injuries.  Both have a chance to play on Friday against TCU, who needs a win for bowl eligibility.  4 of TCU’s 6 losses have been by only one-score.  I’ll gladly take the Horn Frogs and the 10 points on the road.

Boston College +10 (home v. Miami)

This is a tough spot for Miami to get up for after they have lost back to back one-score games to Florida State and Louisville.  It’s an early Friday morning kick in the northeast with cold temperatures expected.  The Eagles gave Florida State a scare earlier in the season in Chesnut Hill, and this week playing a deflated Canes team at home, I’m expecting the Eagles to keep this one close as well.

UTSA +4 (@ Tulane)

MEEP MEEP!  Ever since the Roadrunners got QB Frank Harris back from injury they have been rolling, winning 7 straight games.  Tulane, although they have won 9 straight, play a lot of one-score games.  The winner earns a berth in the AAC Championship game next week and I’m taking the points with Coach Traylor and our boys from San Antonio.  Meep Meep!

Michigan -3 (home v. Ohio State)

All of the distractions going on with the Michigan program with sign stealing allegations and coach Harbaugh getting suspended has brought this wolverine team closer together and that has showed the last two weeks on the field with wins over Penn State and Maryland, both of which were on the road.  Now Michigan is back home hosting their hated rival in Ohio State.  I think Michigan is better in the trenches and that’s how they beaten the buckeyes the last two season.  I think Michigan makes in three straight because they are the better team and I think they prove that against this season on Saturday.

Minnesota +3 (home v. Wisconsin)

The Gophers need this win to become bowl eligible.  Minnesota has relied on their strong defense all season and they will need that defense to shut down their rival Wisconsin to give them a chance to go bowling.  Wisconsin has been inconsistent all season, especially on the road and that’s why I am taking Minnesota and the points at home.

Coastal Carolina +9 (home v. James Madison)

James Madison’s undefeated season came to an end last week with a home overtime loss to Appalachian State.  That deflating loss might cost them this week as I smell a bit of a hangover from the Dukes.  Coastal Carolina is one of the best teams in the country against the spread and has covered every spread at home this season.  I expect them to do it again this week so give me the Chantilers and the points at home.

BYU +17 (@ Oklahoma State)

BYU covered for us last week against Oklahoma.  Now I’m betting on them doing it again this week against another Oklahoma school.  Oklahoma State needs this win to clinch a berth in the Big XII Championship game.  The pokes got routed against UCF and then came from behind to beat Houston last week.  They seem to be stumbling down the stretch after their huge win over Oklahoma.  I think the Pokes win the game but BYU showed some fight last week and I expect this to be a close game so give me the Cougars and the points.

Florida +7 (home v. Florida State)

Seminole QB Jordan Travis had a gruesome leg injury last week and is done for the season.  Night game in the swamp against your rival is not a great place to make your first start.  Florida needs this game to become bowl eligible.  The Gators are still playing hard and I think they smell an opportunity to upset their rival and keep them out of the College Football Playoff and also get them bowling.  Gotta take the Gators here at home getting a touchdown.
