Week 4

Duke/UConn-Over 45-Here’s the matchup we’ve all been waiting for! Duke vs UConn; Coach K vs Coach Calhoun; Cameron is gonna be crazy………wait, never mind, this is football, not basketball; my B. Makes it easier to predict, actually; I like the over in this one. This 18th ranked Duke team (yep, Duke is ranked in football. Crazy huh?) has been putting up points (averaging 36 per game) with Daniel Jones 2.0 at QB, and UConn still hasn’t won a game yet this year. Spread is a little high for me (21.5) but I like the over. If UConn finds ANY way to score, it’s gonna be a rocking chair over.

Arkansas/LSU- Arkansas+17.5-This is something I don’t like to do because when I’m wrong, it makes me double mad. It means we not only didn’t cover (which means I lost money) but we also got blown out and lost the game. I’m trusting the Hogs to get back on track for this year’s Battle For The Golden Boot after pooping the bed last week at home against BYU. Over could be in play here (O/U 55) if Arkansas’ defense can’t find a way to corral Jayden Daniels, who is LSU’s leading passer and rusher on the year. Arkansas will be the best team LSU has faced since they got drummed by Florida St. to open the year, and I think the Hogs will keep it within 17.5 to only cause me to get 1/2 angry, instead of going full angry at the game.

Notre Dame/Ohio State- Notre Dame +3- Notre Dame is at home this week and is a 3 point dog to Ohio State. Sam Hartman has the Irish offense rolling and I think it’s business as usual on Saturday. The Golden Domers are averaging 508 total yards and 38 points per game, and Ohio State feels to me like a team that’s a loss away from the wheels falling off. First big test for new Buckeyes’ QB Kyle McCord and I think his big game inexperience is gonna show ( Hartman spent 5 seasons at Wake Forrest before transferring to Notre Dame this year) and that’s where I think Notre Dame will separate with a late turnover to seal the win or worst case, a late Ohio State FG still allows N.D. to cover, but I think ND wins the game outright to go 5-0 and give the Irish hope for the first time since they got destroyed by Bama in the 2013 National Championship game 42-14.
